Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is a Mexican musician who was born into a musical family. She grew up listening mostly to traditional music, old boleros, as well as traditional ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana loves tangos, operas and other dramatic shows. At the age 16, she began singing and learning music with her mother. Flavio, a Mexican famous tenor, started to give her more intense singing instruction. The training in music continued at the School of Music of Guadalajara University. Then, she enrolled in The School of Sacred Music of Toluca. In Guadalajara and Mexico City, she was part of a variety of opera ensembles as well as chamber groups. In 2000 she moved back to in the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. In 2007, she settled in her home in southern California. She has performed solo Latin American music for private events and also as part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. She is involved with many local projects in both teaching as well as a performer due to her love for art and music. Ana has been a member of Community Chorus of Redlands (as well being a member of the Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana thanks the Inland Master Choir for allowing her to perform classic Latin American song.
